Ready for action - Hull

19 July 2013

With another week of pre-season training almost under the belt, Miguel Llera is looking forward to the challenge of newly promoted Premier League side Hull on Saturday.

The Owls take on the Tigers in Albufeira for their second summer friendly in Portugal following Tuesday’s game against Braga.

Llera said: “Pre-season training is very beneficial and it's important to train in a different place with a different climate.

“The heat can be very intense but we know that this is an important stage in our preparation for the new season. Every day is hard but that is the way it should be.

“We’ve had our summer break and now we are getting back down to work.”

In terms of Saturday’s opposition, Llera says that while a win would be a bonus the most important thing is to get back attuned to playing 90 minute games.

He added: “You can train as much as you want and in whatever weather you want but one thing you cannot replicate is playing games.

“We beat Hull last season but they went on to get promotion and we know they are a good team so we are looking forward to the challenge.”

* Sheffield Wednesday v Hull will take place at Estadio Municipal de Albufeira, 8.00pm kick off.

Tickets can be bought from the stadium on the day of the game and will be available on the turnstiles. Entrance is 10 Euros.
