Sheffield Wednesday midfielder David Prutton has committed to a new deal at Hillsborough.
The 31-year-old has extended his stay in S6 by a further year.
Prutton joined the Owls in May 2011 and made 28 appearances in Wednesday’s promotion-winning season to the Championship.
The experienced midfield man began 2012/13 on loan at Scunthorpe, where he made 15 appearances for the Iron and proved popular with fans at Glanford Park.
Prutton returned to the Owls in December 2012 and went on to play a key role in Wednesday’s engine room, featuring a further 23 times for Dave Jones’ side as the club maintained Championship status.
The new deal will see Prutton stay at Hillsborough until summer 2014.
