The Owls head over the Pennines to face Stockport on 9 July (7.45pm) and visiting supporters are reminded that ticket prices have been set for Rodger Wylde’s testimonial game.

 

Wednesday have been allocated an initial 1,250 tickets at Edgeley Park, with the option of more if required.

 

Prices are as follows:

 

Adults: £10
Concessions: £5 (over 65s and 16-21s)
Under 16s: £3

Supporters requiring either a wheelchair bay or ambulant disabled tickets should contact Stockport direct on 0845 6885799.

 

Tickets are now on general sale and can be purchased from the Ticket Office, by telephone on 0871 900 1867 (£2 booking fee per ticket) or online by CLICKING HERE

 

Former Owls striker Wylde spent eight years at Hillsborough between 1972 and 1980, posting 168 appearances and scoring 54 goals along the way.

 

The Sheffield product went on to play for Oldham, Sporting Lisbon, Sunderland, Barnsley and Rotherham before signing for Stockport, where he hung up his boots in 1989 after one season with the Hatters.


Upon his retirement, Wylde completed a degree in physiotherapy and was appointed as club physiotherapist at Stockport in March 1989 and has remained in post for 24 years.


In 2006, Wylde was inducted into Stockport’s Hall of Fame.
