Cavendish Care thank fans

6 March 2013

Cavendish Cancer Care have thanked Wednesday fans for their generosity at the Owls' recent game against Nottingham Forest.

The Sheffield-based charity thanked both the club and supporters for making their collection a success – raising £752.86 in vital funds to help offer free support and counselling to local people affected by cancer.

As part of their fundraising for 2013, Cavendish Cancer Care has enlisted Yellow Arch Recording Studios to host a talent competition on their behalf with all proceeds going to the charity.

To be involved all you have to do is record or video yourself singing your favourite song and submit it to Yellow Arch with an entry fee of £10.

The ten best tracks will be chosen by a celebrity judging panel, which includes Richard Hawley and Jon McClure of Reverend and the Makers.

The winners will be invited into the studio to record with professional session musicians and have their track released on iTunes.
