Owls goalkeeper Arron Jameson has joined League 2 side York City on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old academy product has made two appearances for Wednesday since breaking through into the first team picture, both coming in the 2010/11 campaign.
Jameson signed a new contract at Hillsborough in summer 2012, extending his S6 stay until 2014.
Having featured on several occasions for the SWFC Development Squad this season, Jameson will now gain further first team experience with Nigel Worthington’s side.
The Minstermen currently sit 18th in League 2, four points off the drop zone.
