Aggressive Management and Dennis Hobson Promotions are delighted to announce that headlining this year’s Owls in the Park music stage are Sheffield band Polkadodge.
This four-piece energetic indie band have been likened to Johnny Marr riffing with the Killers and you can see why. This band are genuinely on the verge of big things as they prepare for a full national UK tour later in the year after three high profile Tramlines gigs this summer.
Having spent the last six months writing their new album, Polkadodge are set to take their music out to the UK public with a full national tour, including a number of big London dates.

Already added to the Owls in the Park stage this year are pop/rock band The Lounge Crusade, harmony specialists Chayser, popular indie outfit The Monday Club, incredible vocalist Lauren Tate and singer Kirstie Turner, who has specially written an Owls related song.
These great acts join Jessica Steele, The Black Hands and Kyle Baker, ensuring music for everyone’s taste on the day!
More artists and bands will be confirmed for the stage soon, whilst full itinerary for the day and timings will be confirmed in the weeks leading up to the event.
Owls in the Park takes place in Hillsborough Park from 11am-6pm on Sunday 30 June with free entry for all. The gala event features events and activities throughout the day, including meeting the players, Support Dogs show, fun fair, animal displays, dance, sports demonstrations and lots more!

The Lounge Crusade: A pop/rock band who have done plenty already in the two years they've been together. The Lounge Crusade have toured the UK and Europe, supporting the likes of Tinchy Stryder, Juan Zelada and The Seahorses. Their brilliant debut EP was recorded at the legendary Chapel Studios with producer Jim Spencer (Oasis, The Charlatans, New Order).

Chayser: A Sheffield band with a big difference. Mixing the sound of the city with vocals and harmonies that are usually compared to the style of Queen, Chayser are a band you will remember forever after seeing live.

Kyle Baker – Returning to Owls in the Park for the second year, one of the city’s brightest acoustic talents. Kyle is currently recording his debut album as well as performing his Sheffield-influenced songs to an ever growing fan base at venues across the region.

The Black Hands – Widely recognised as one of the best live blues rock bands in the country, their reputation speaks for itself. Since their 2010 formation, they have made countless festival appearances, played many a headline show, been crowned winners of battle of the Bands 2011 at both Sheffield's prestigious Corporation venue and Nottingham's Diamond Rock Club and have been chosen to support the likes of Deborah Bonham, X-UFO and The Virgin Mary's too!

Kirstie Turner: A young singer songwriter from S6 that has written and recorded a new SWFC anthem, she is going to jump onto the music stage to perform this track live and get you into the mood for the new season. Kirstie has recently recorded material at Sheffield's Steelworks studios where huge artists such as Aretha Franklin, The Spice Girls and Take That have all recorded in the past.
