Sheffield Wednesday youngster Ayo Obileye has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The versatile defender has put pen to paper on a one-year deal having successfully graduated from the Owls’ academy.
Obileye said: “Today is a special day for myself and my family, I am delighted to sign my professional contract with Sheffield Wednesday.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me by the club. I arrived in Sheffield from London in 2011 and had to adapt quickly to a different day to day regime, with contrasting footballing styles.
“But I am convinced I am a better player now, as I am now able to operate in midfield as well as central defence.
“I am looking forward to continuing my development next season and hopefully featuring in the first team squad again more regularly."
