Pearson's charity challenge

10 May 2013

Former Owls ace John Pearson will be putting on his running shoes for a good cause this weekend.

Pearson, now the summariser on Wednesday Player alongside commentator Rob O’Neill (above right), will run the Sheffield Half Marathon in aid of the Western Park Cancer Hospital Charity.

He undertakes the 13-mile run with ex-Owls team mate Gavin Oliver, whose wife was successfully treated at the specialist hospital, and friend Chris Warburton.

Pearson said:  “I’m running to support Gavin for a really good cause. Weston Park Hospital have been really good to Gavin and his wife, so it makes sense to raise some money with him to say a big thank you.”

The trio have been training together for weeks in readiness for the half marathon, which takes place this Sunday, 12 May.
