Caolan Lavery is set to extend his international experience on Tuesday evening when the Northern Ireland Under-21s face Cyprus in the European Championship qualifiers in Belfast.
The young Owls’ striker came off the bench for the last 11 minutes when Ireland went down 3-0 to Italy in Reggio Emilia last Thursday.
Lavery has impressed for the Wednesday Development Squad this season, scoring six goals so far, but international duty will preclude his involvement in the Owls’ Premier League Cup tie at Leicester tonight.
