Fryatt wins October award

1 November 2013

Matty Fryatt has been voted the swfc.co.uk Player of the Month for October.

The loan striker scored two goals in four starts last month and impressed boss Dave Jones sufficiently to gain an extension to his temporary S6 switch from Premiership side Hull.

Fryatt clearly made an impression on Owls fans too, who voted the 27-year-old their top player for October.

He told swfc.co.uk: “That’s really good news because it shows I have been doing something right.

“To get the goals is great and I’m getting fitter and sharper with every game.

“It was particularly pleasing to score in front of our travelling fans at Barnsley last week and now I want to score in front of all our fans at Hillsborough.”

The full result for the October Player of the Month was as follows:

1. Matty Fryatt (24 per cent)
2. Chris Kirkland (20 per cent)
3. Stephen McPhail (8 per cent)

Thank you to all those who took the time to vote.
