The Owls’ Under-18s posted a useful point at Nottingham Forest on Saturday morning.
An entertaining game finished 1-1, with Charlie Dawes on target for the Owls.
Wednesday’s Joe Wildsmith saved a first half penalty before Dawes struck, only for Forest to level with 15 minutes to go.
Coach Steven Haslam said: “"It was a good battling display from the lads to earn a draw. It wasn't the most fluent of performances, played in blustery conditions, but we stuck to the task quite well.
“We were thankful to keeper Joe Wildsmith who made a fine penalty save in the first half and we were a threat on the counter attack.
“It was also pleasing to see the lads show some courage and bravery in the last 15 minutes after they equalised as Forest threw everything at us but the back four stood firm and deservedly got a point from the game.”
