With two goals in five appearances, Matty Fryatt is aiming to continue in the same vein having extended his S6 stay by a further month.
The loan ace hit the back of the net in fixtures away from home against Brighton and Barnsley and says his next target is to score at Hillsborough.
And with Wednesday on home soil this weekend against Reading, Fryatt is in the hunt to add to his Owls tally against the Royals.
He told swfc.co.uk: “I’m really pleased to have extended here. I’ve been playing games which is really important for me, I’ve scored a few goals and hopefully I can continue in the same vein.
“To score last weekend in the derby meant a lot. With the way the game was panning out, we showed so much improvement after half time.
“The chance fell to me – similar to the one at home against Ipswich – but this time it didn’t hit the keeper and flew straight into the net. It was a big goal for the team and a big goal for me.
“Hopefully I can register my first goal at Hillsborough this weekend.”
The hitman has also heaped praise on the supporters, who he has described as terrific during his five-game spell so far with the Owls.
He continued: “The supporters have been terrific during my time here. It’s always easy to say that as a footballer but they have been outstanding.
“When you’re at the wrong end of the table it can be difficult sometimes but they are always right behind us.
“So for me, it was important that I made a good impression with them.
“I think I should have added a few more goals but feel I’m getting better and better and hopefully I can add to the two goals I already have.
“Reading have a strong squad but we have nothing to fear. While I’ve been here, I’ve not seen us outplayed by anyone and we have always been in the games.
“We need to find a level of consistency and with a little bit of fine-tuning, we will turn those draws into wins.”
