The Owls’ Under-21s played their part in a six-goal thriller against local rivals Leeds in West Yorkshire on Tuesday.
Caolan Lavery’s brace and a Mani Dieseruvwe strike gave Wednesday a share of the spoils from what proved an entertaining White Rose derby, which saw Leeds striker Noel Hunt score a hat-trick.
The Owls came back from 3-1 down and coach Lee Bullen says the game was a rollercoaster affair:
He told swfc.co.uk: “If I’m being honest, I would say Leeds shaded it but then again we could have nicked it right at the end after coming back into the game because we had the momentum.
“We struggled a little with the formation in the first half but once we got to grips with things, we got a foothold on the game.
“It was great for Caolan to get two goals but I have to give credit to Cameron Dawson, who was exceptional and kept us in it.”
