Tickets for troops

7 October 2013

Sheffield Wednesday are delighted to once again give backing to Ticket for Troops for the 2013/14 campaign.

The military charity, which provides free tickets for sporting, musical and theatrical events to members of the Armed Forces, has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Sheffield Wednesday and The Football League since the scheme was established in 2009.

Over 85,000 football tickets have been donated to the charity since 2009 and last season alone saw in excess of 35,000 distributed to servicemen and women across the UK.

Currently 19,000 tickets have been donated by Football League clubs for the current season.

Sheffield Wednesday Ticket Office Manager, Alastair Wilson said: “We are delighted to once again give backing to the Tickets for Troops scheme and welcome servicemen and women to Hillsborough.

“Members of the armed forces risk their lives every day and this initiative is a wonderful way of showing respect for their continued service.”

Members of the Armed Forces and those who have been medically discharged from the services since 2001 can book tickets via the charity’s website by clicking HERE.
