Issabelle’s Appeal

12 September 2013

Sheffield Wednesday wish to welcome Issabelle’s Appeal to Hillsborough as charity partner for the Yeovil match.

The appeal is in memory of youngster Issabelle Futter who passed away after a three-year battle with Neuroblastoma - an aggressive childhood cancer which attacks the body through the nerve system.

Her parents Andrew and Wendy from Sheffield set up the charity to raise £250,000 for their daughter to have pioneering treatment abroad but Issabelle’s condition worsened and she passed away in December 2012 at Bluebell Wood Hospice aged seven.

Her family wanted to do something in Issabelle's memory and decided they would use the money they had raised to help other families in the same situation.

Issabelle's Appeal has been fund raising throughout the year and continues to do so with the aim of providing poorly children and their families with lasting memories - something that was extremely important to the Futter family.

Volunteers from the charity will hold a bucket collection around the ground before kick-off and both SWFC and Issabelle’s Appeal would like to thank everyone in advance for their generosity.
