Remembering the 96

14 April 2014

The annual memorial service commemorating the Hillsborough disaster will take place on Tuesday 15 April at 3.00pm.

The service will mark the 25th anniversary of the disaster in which 96 men, women and children lost their lives attending the FA Cup semi final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in 1989.

This will take place at the permanent memorial on Parkside Road adjacent to the club's main entrance and include a minute’s silence and prayers for those who died.

Owls chairman Milan Mandaric will lay a wreath of flowers on behalf of the club.

Everyone at Sheffield Wednesday FC would like to express ongoing sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and the wider Liverpool community affected so deeply by the disaster.
