Maghoma eyes Forest clash

  • Jacques Maghoma eyes Nottingham Forest clash
  • The forward is confident Owls can continue good run
  • Strong team spirit in SWFC camp

Wednesday and Forest – two of the Championship’s in-form sides - go head to head on Saturday at Hillsborough.

Jacques Maghoma has taken plenty from the Owls’ promising start and, after knocking Premier League side Burnley out of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday, now has his sights set on the Forest clash.

With the potential to go top of the Championship, Maghoma has no doubt Wednesday can continue on in their rich vein of form.

He told Wednesday Player: “We went to Burnley and were solid.

“It’s a good win but we have another important game on Saturday and hopefully we can continue as we are.

“We went to Brighton on the first day and had a great performance and since then, we have carried that on. We are playing with so much confidence.”

Maghoma apportions much of Wednesday’s fine start to the 14/15 term down to a strong pre-season and a great spirit within the camp.

He added: “A lot of our success has been down to hard work, team bonding and that we all know our jobs.

“We know what to do and are working hard for each other.

“We started well in pre-season, worked hard and that is showing.

“We’re taking it one game at a time and we have a big test this weekend that we are desperate to win. We’re not scared of anyone in this division and Saturday will be a game for us.”
