- Owls Under-21s claim 2-1 win over Hull
- Franck Betra hits both goals for Wednesday
- Lee Bullen delighted with win over Premier League side
The Owls Under-21s overcame Hull City 2-1 on a sunny afternoon at Middlewood Road.
Striker Franck Betra fired Wednesday to victory, scoring a double against the Tigers and Lee Bullen was pleased to pick up a win over the Premier League outfit.
He said: “I really enjoyed the game. There were parts when we were second best and parts where we did really well.
“I’m always delighted to get a victory against a Premier League team. With all the facilities and resources that they have, it’s great for our youngsters to come out and get a victory because it was a very young team.
“With the Under-18s that have come in, I think Dean Ramsdale, Steve Haslam, Neil Thompson and Max Wragg have done a great job with that group because they have bedded in so well.
“They’ve got a hunger and a desire to run and work hard. They did fantastic against Harrogate last week and then today against Premier League opposition.”
