- Owls draw Manchester City in the FA Cup
- Third round tie a repeat of League Cup clash
- Stuart Gray keen to return to Etihad
Stuart Gray is looking forward to locking horns with Manchester City for the second time this season.
The Owls were paired with the Premiership champions in the third round of the FA Cup on Monday night, with the tie serving as a repeat of the League Cup clash earlier this term.
Wednesday crashed out 7-0 at The Etihad and Gray is pleased to get a second bite of the cherry over the Pennines.
He told swfc.co.uk: “It’s funny how things work out. Someone said to me in the morning that we’d get Manchester City away again and I thought ‘what are the chances’.
“So when we came out of the hat it was quite ironic but I am looking forward it because it is a great tie and another great test.
“We held them for the first 45 minutes last time but their quality shone through in the end.
“They gave us total respect on that occasion and I’m sure they will do the same again this time.”
