- Mani Dieseruvwe has scored four goals in three games
- Under-21s defeated Birmingham 3-0 on Tuesday
- Striker would welcome loan opportunity
Owls striker Mani Dieseruvwe has scored four goals in his last three games for the Under-21s and is enjoying his current run.
The 20-year-old extended his purple patch in front of goal yesterday, scoring the opening goal, as Wednesday defeated Birmingham 3-0 away from home.
“Scoring goals is what it’s all about,” he said. “As a striker, you can be playing well but if you’re not scoring goals, you’re not happy.
“We had a comfortable win at Birmingham and we looked strong.
“We were disappointing against strong opposition in Huddersfield at Hillsborough but we responded against Birmingham.
“They were a young side, but you can only beat the opposition that is put in front of you.”
Dieseruvwe spent time away from Hillsborough last season with loan spells at Hyde and Fleetwood and the youngster says he would welcome another loan move to aid his development.
“Hopefully a chance to go out on loan will come in January.
“To play league games and score goals is what you need and it would get me out there to show what I can do in competitive games.
“I enjoyed my time at Fleetwood. They had a very good side and a big squad so it was difficult to nail down a regular starting place.
“But in the meantime, I want to keep scoring goals and playing well.”
