Now we must build

3 December 2014

The Owls’ hard work and determination paid off with victory over Wigan last weekend and Lee Bullen has said Wednesday must now build on that success.

Confidence has never been an issue with the group according to Bullen, who praised the Owls’ work rate on Saturday at Hillsborough.

The SWFC coach believes Saturday’s opponents Blackburn will be right up there come the end of the season but says Wednesday will head to Ewood Park full of confidence.

“The lads who were involved, including the substitutes, were phenomenal and with that work rate, you get your rewards.

“We got that in the end. We’ve known that quality is there and have been battling away. Of course it’s important we now build on that.

“In my opinion, we’re going to one of the favourites for promotion. Blackburn are very strong and when you have Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede up top, they are going to be a handful for anybody in this league.”

He added: “It’s a really tough game but why should we fear anybody?

“The lads are still full of confidence, even when we were going through that run. It’s a great game for us.”
