- Wednesday won 1-0 at Wigan
- Atdhe Nuhiu scored winning goal
- Striker hails team mates as Owls move to tenth
Despite scoring the decisive goal against Wigan on Tuesday night, Atdhe Nuhiu was swift in stating it is all about the team.
The big man struck 13 minutes from the end at The DW Stadium to hand Wednesday back to back wins over the festive period.
And while Nuhiu was delighted to see his close range header seal the points, his focus remained on the bigger picture.
He said: “As long as we win, I am happy.
“Everyone talks about the person who scores the winning goal but for me, everyone should take the credit all around the team.
“I set the goal up for Stevie May against Wigan the first time we played them and I take as much pleasure from that as scoring the goal.
“As a player, you want to score a goal and that applies to everyone because without scoring a goal, you cannot win the game.
“If Jeremy hadn’t put the cross in, I wouldn’t have scored the goal so he deserves credit for that.
“But it is not important for me who scores as long as we win. What is important is that when I leave the pitch, Sheffield Wednesday have won the game.”
