The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme is set to host a special evening that promises ‘glitz and glamour’ whilst raising funds for the Sheffield Wednesday Football Academy and Ability Counts disability team.
The black tie evening, ‘Glitz & Glamour’, takes place on Friday 20 February 2015 at the Hilton Victoria Quays hotel and starts at 7:00pm, will host a range of entertainment activities to help boost funds needed for the Academy and the Ability Counts team.
As well as drinks on arrival and a three course dinner, guests will get to enjoy live music from jazz and swing Sheffield-based artist and Owls fan Paul Pashley.
The Sheffield Wednesday Ability Counts team, the Community Programme’s disability squad, sponsored by Unity Law, train every week and compete in their own league.
The funds raised will go to the disability team as well as the club’s football academy, which is in place to train and educate young football scholars with an aim for them to make it to first team football.
The entertainment includes a fun casino, auction and balloon raffle and a Sheffield Wednesday Ability Counts awards presentation – awarding those who have shown outstanding performances and behaviour over the year.
The whole night will be hosted by Hallam FM DJ Steve White and end with a disco!
