Sheffield Wednesday hosted the club’s hugely successful annual Player and Kit Sponsors’ Christmas Dinner on Monday evening.
The special night at Hillsborough gave supporters the chance to dine and mingle with their favourite players and the club were delighted that the bar was raised even higher this time around.
The Wednesday stars – who have been buoyed by recent wins over Wigan and Blackburn – sat alongside their respective sponsors for the evening, who each received a framed shirt to take away as a memento from the Christmas gathering.
The evening was enjoyed by supporters of all ages and players alike, in what turned out to be a memorable festive occasion.
To kick off the evening, the sponsors were invited to have their photo taken alongside their player prior to the sumptuous three-course meal in the club’s newly refurbished 1867 lounge.
After the meal, Owls chairman Milan Mandaric, head coach Stuart Gray and the Wednesday squad, were all on hand to chat to fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs!
The evening forms part of the supporters’ overall sponsorship package and is fast becoming one of the highlights of the commercial calendar.
Sheffield Wednesday commercial director Andy Daykin said: “We’re extremely delighted with another superb evening.
“The feedback from sponsors and supporters has been overwhelmingly positive and it was great to see the players and fans enjoying each other’s company all evening.
“I would like to thank everybody who was involved in making the event special, including the supporters and all the players, who were a credit to the club.”
Steve Beal from pipework specialists Servomac said: “I just wanted to say a big thanks for last night, we all really enjoyed a great night and Thomas is still bouncing all over the place. He wanted me to send you a few of the ‘selfies’ that he took from last night!
