4 December 2014

Sheffield Wednesday’s over 50s support group have enjoyed their annual five day holiday after they visited Hexham, a charming market town in the heart of Tyne Valley, this month.

The group then enjoyed a conducted tour of Hadrian's Wall before travelling to Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria. Finally, they travelled to Moffat in the heart of southern Scotland before the long trip home to HIllsborough.

Other than holidays, the group also go on day trips, occasional hospitality trips to away games and organise special Christmas parties.

The support group, Sheffield Wednesday's over 50s luncheon network, currently has around 200 members.

Consisting of both Season Ticket Holders and non-Season Ticket Holders, the group meet every third Wednesday of the month, normally in the 1867 Lounge, from around 11:15am for a two-course lunch at 12:30pm.

If your over 50 please turn up on the third Wednesday and you will be made most welcome the whole gig costs £12 and that includes excellent lunch.
