Wolves in sight for Wednesday

9 December 2014

  • Stevie May looks forward to Wolves
  • Striker aiming for three wins on the bounce
  • Man City clash on the back burner for now says May

Stevie May has said spirits are high in the Owls’ camp after back to back wins and strong performances.

The striker wants that winning feeling to continue as Wolves visit Hillsborough on Saturday.

While the Owls have picked up maximum points from the last two games and moved within four of the play-offs, Wolves have lost five on the spin heading into the weekend clash.

May said: “The main thing right now is our form in the Championship.

“We’ll think about the FA Cup draw when that comes around but at the moment, there are a lot of winnable fixtures coming up in the league.

“We fancy ourselves right now and spirits are high. That’s not just in the changing room but with the fans as well.

“We want to keep this run going, we’ve had two big wins and we want to make it a third on Saturday.”

Having watched the draw for the FA Cup third round during the Player and Kit Sponsors’ Christmas Dinner yesterday evening, May also gave his reaction to drawing Manchester City once again at The Etihad.

He added: “It’s a chance for us to put right what happened in that second half.

“It’s not the ideal draw but we’ll go there and give it another go.

“We’ll look at what we did last time and what we should have done and try and re-create that first half because there were positives there.”
