The Owls’ academy are looking to extend their nationwide scouting network and as a result have positions available around the country.
Following the club’s notable achievement of Category 2 status under the inaugural EPPP criteria, scouts are being sought to join the academy’s talent, identification and recruitment team as part of Sheffield Wednesday’s long term development strategy.
Scouts will be required to assist with the recruitment of elite players aged between nine and 16 for the Owls’ successful youth development programme.
Successful applicants will be required to go through the screening process of enhanced CRB disclosure.
The following are preferred but not essential:
• Knowledge of local leagues or grass roots football
• Knowledge of schools football, both local and district
• Experience in Academy or School of Excellence scouting
• Knowledge of youth football
Positions are available in the following areas:
• Manchester
• West Yorkshire
• East Midlands
• West Midlands
• London/Home Counties
