Team news

Owls: Wednesday will be without Connor Wickham, who is unavailable to feature in the cup competition under the terms of the striker’s loan agreement with Sunderland.

Another enforced change for the Owls at the back is Roger Johnson.

Stuart Gray has confirmed the Owls are holding talks with Wolves with regard to extending the defender’s loan stay with Wednesday.

Michail Antonio could play a part having returned from injury last time out against Blackpool, where the winger came on as a late substitute at Hillsborough.

Damian Martinez has extended his loan at Hillsborough until the end of the season and can play in the FA Cup on Saturday, if selected.

Macclesfield: The Owls’ FA Cup opponents can welcome back midfielder Danny Whitaker following his one-match suspension.

The Silkmen have no injury or suspension concerns and will be looking to extend their good run of form and enter the cup tie on the back of four straight wins.
