Stephen McPhail has extended his S6 deal by a further month.
The midfield man fell out of contract following the Burnley game last Saturday but will now stay with Wednesday until 19 February.
After training with the Owls for much of the summer, McPhail put pen to paper on a short term deal in September.
He has since made 13 appearances for the club and will be eligible for the FA Cup fourth round tie at Rochdale on Saturday.
