Owls recall Lavery

8 January 2014

Sheffield Wednesday have recalled Caolan Lavery from his loan spell with League 2 side Plymouth Argyle.

The young striker was in the early throes of his second temporary stint with the South Coast club.

The ex-Ipswich man came on from the bench during his first four appearances for his loan side and repaid manager John Sheridan’s faith in his first start by scoring in the 2-1 win over Bury.

Lavery has featured eight times in total for Argyle, scoring three goals in his last four appearances, helping Plymouth climb up to 12th position in League 2.

His other strikes for the Pilgrims came away from home in the tough trip to Oxford, where Plymouth upset the promotion chasers 3-2, and the 2-0 home win over Torquay.
