Pedal for Prostate Cancer UK

17 January 2014

Prostate Cancer UK are searching for Owls supporters to step up and take part in a cycle across Europe in the name of charity.

The hunt is on for fans to fly the Wednesday flag on this memorable challenge from Leyton Orient in London to Amsterdam's Dam Square.

Club officials, players, volunteers and loyal supporters will join forces to conquer this picturesque 155 mile trek and attain sponsorship to save lives.

One in eight men in the UK will contract prostate cancer and 250,000 men are living with it at the moment.

Prostate Cancer UK are aiming to use their partnership with the Football League to raise awareness of the disease amongst fans, players, and staff.

Fundraising is an important part of their work, which is why the London to Amsterdam challenge offers a great opportunity for Owls fans to pitch in and do their bit to help crack prostate cancer.

The registration fee is just £149, and fans that take part must pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000.

So if you’re interested in getting involved in the London to Amsterdam Challenge, contact the club by email at: website@swfc.co.uk or visit the Prostate Cancer UK website for more information.
