Sheffield Wednesday can confirm that the pre-season friendly with League Two side Bury will now be staged at the AJ Bell Stadium.
The fixture will take place on Friday 18 July, with kick off at 7.45pm.
Originally the summer warm-up game was due to be played at the Shakers' Gigg Lane ground but will now take place in nearby Salford.
The game has been switched for this friendly encounter in order to allow the pitch maximum preparation time for the new season after original redevelopment was delayed due to adverse weather.
Although the venue is primarily used for rugby, from the start of the 2013/14 campaign the AJ Bell Stadium became the stage for the Manchester United Under-21s.
Tickets for the friendly are priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions (under 16s/over 65s/disabled/unemployed).
Sales dates will be announced in due course.
