The Owls’ Championship clash with Wigan on Wednesday was punctuated by two key decisions that effectively settled the match.

Ali Al Habsi saw yellow in conceding a first half penalty that Leon Best missed – but the Latics’ goalkeeper could easily have seen red on another day.

Then, late in the game, Wigan got a penalty of their own that was converted by Jordi Gomez.
