Owls academy product Joe Wildsmith has joined Skrill Premier side Alfreton Town on a 28-day loan deal.
The highly-rated stopper has made excellent progress during his rise through the SWFC youth system and put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year professional deal at Hillsborough in November 2013.
Wildsmith was recognised by the League Football Education (LFE) in December 2013 for his outstanding performances between the sticks this season for both the Owls Under-18s and Development Squad.
The 18-year-old will now link up with the Reds who are well in the mix for promotion to League Two via the play-off route.
The club currently sit third in the Conference Premier, four points clear in the play-offs with seven games left to play.
The 28-day loan spell will see Wildsmith remain with Alfreton until 26 April but should the club finish in the top five, the Owls goalkeeper will be eligible to feature in their play-off campaign.
