Owls legend Don Megson appeared at the Owls Megastore on Saturday to sign copies of his autobiography ‘A Life In Football.’
Don devoted 17 years of his career to Sheffield Wednesday and is remembered as one of the finest full backs of his generation.
He made his professional debut for the Owls in 1959 and went on to post over 400 appearances for the club, marshalling Wednesday to five consecutive top-six finishes and memorably skippering the team in the 1966 FA cup final at Wembley against Everton.
Don’s life story has now been chronicled in his autobiography that charts his 30-year career as a player and manager and recounts the unique atmosphere surrounding football in the swinging sixties.
At £11.99 this book is a great memento or gift for anyone who remembers one of the true greats in the Owls’ illustrious history.
