Glenn Loovens: 'We owe the fans'

24 November 2014

The Owls are back on home soil this weekend and Glenn Loovens has said the fans are owed a performance.

Wednesday registered their eleventh clean sheet on Saturday in what was the club’s seventh draw in ten league games.

Loovens has stressed the importance of turning draws into wins.

The Owls host the Latics on Saturday, who are out of form with one win in 13 and Loovens said:

“The fans always turn up to support us. We owe them a good performance.

“We need to win whether that’s home or away. Our fans deserve a performance so hopefully we will give them a good one against Wigan.

“We have played some very good teams at home and it has been a tough period.

“Maybe that’s something to do with it but like I said, we are not losing these games. I don’t feel that the players are under more pressure at home than away.

“We have the belief as players. We won’t panic and we believe it will turn.

“We should be confident. We don’t get beaten a lot. We always create chances. We just a need a bit of luck to score and win the game. It’s time to get the three points.”
