Gray sets Owls challenge

30 November 2014

Stuart Gray insists the Owls must build on their weekend win and strike again at Blackburn next time out.

Wednesday came from behind to beat Wigan 2-1 on Saturday, with Stevie May’s brace doing the damage.

Now Gray says the good work must continue at Ewood Park.

“I have set the players the challenge. We have to go Blackburn and win the game and build on what we achieved on Saturday.

“The character in this squad and the spirit is second to none and I have every confidence in this group of players.

“It’s normal in football when you go ten games without a win that some people will say there are problems in the camp or divisions in the dressing room.

“But I know this group inside out and I see what they have every day. There are no problem here.

“That’s why I knew that a win was just around the corner.

“Now instead of being asked about no wins in ten, I can be asked about the fact we are unbeaten in four.”
