Stuart Gray will go head to head this evening with Eddie Howe – a man he knows well from their time together at Burnley.
And Gray is full of praise for what Howe has achieved in his two separate spells with the Cherries.
Gray said: “People say certain clubs fit certain individuals. I worked with Eddie at Burnley when he was manager then.
“Suddenly he’s gone back to Bournemouth and done fantastically well when you think back to where they have come from.
“They’ve had big investment. When you can make ten changes against West Brom, it just shows the quality, strength and depth he’s got.
“Eddie is a student of the game. He’s a listener, a good talker and organiser. I enjoyed working with him.
“We picked each other’s brains but he’s his own man.
“His career came to a sudden end because of a knee injury but he knew what route he was going to go down so credit to him for turning it around.
“He’s built on what he had last season. He’s got competition and two players who can play in each position. The place was rocking when I watched the West Brom game last week.
“It will be a good test for us and is a game we are looking forward to it.”
