Owls defender Joe Mattock has been ruled out of action for six weeks.
The 24-year-old suffered injury at Charlton on Saturday and was replaced in the first half at The Valley.
Scan results have confirmed ankle ligament damage and Stuart Gray said:
“Joe is out for around six weeks. He went over on his ankle and the frustrating thing is, it wasn’t a proper tackle.
“He caught his studs in the turf and his body weight went over on the ankle. We wish him well and a quick recovery.
“The good thing is we have players who can fill in and I thought Jeremy Helan did well on Tuesday, particularly in the second half.”
