More than £40,000 raised in memory of Owls supporter

13 November 2014

More than £40,000 has been raised in memory of a lifelong Sheffield Wednesday supporter after he sadly passed away in 2010 when he lost his battle to cancer.

In 2009 Mark Haydn Taylor was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer at the age of just 48.

Following his diagnosis, Mark a big Sheffield Wednesday fan, decided to set up a cancer research fund and devoted his time to selflessly supporting the work of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

Sadly in November 2010 Mark lost his battle with cancer but his family were determined to continue the good work that he had started.

Four years on the Mark Haydn Taylor Cancer Research Fund has now raised a staggering £40,000 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

On the anniversary of his death Mark’s family and friends were at the game on Saturday to remember an inspirational husband, father and friend whose legacy will live on for years to come.

To donate to Mark’s fund please visit www.wphcancercharity.org.uk or ring Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity on 0114 2265370.
