The Sheffield Wednesday Academy this week welcomed a national speaker to help motivate and inspire scholars studying on the apprenticeship.
The young players, who are aged 16-18, this week enjoyed an afternoon with motivational speaker, Jamie Edwards.
Jamie aims to improve the scholars' efforts and application to the whole apprenticeship and hoped to improve their whole outlook both on and off the pitch.
The Owls apprentices, who are studying on the BTEC Diploma in Sport and the Football Association level two certificate in coaching, combine practical play, match analysis and education to hopefully progress to the first team.
The speaker, who has also done presentations to athletes Freddie Flintoff, Lewis Moody and Jimmy White, was brought in through the academy’s association with the League Football Education – the organisation who manage the education programme for clubs.
