Owls head coach Stuart Gray has said there is no pressure on Caolan Lavery as the young striker nears a return to action.
After a picking up a knee injury in pre-season, the 22-year-old has faced a long road to recovery.
But the striker is set to play a part against Middlesbrough for the Development Squad today which will serve as a significant point in Lavery’s recovery.
Gray said: “We won’t put pressure on Caolan. He’s back in training, he’s going very well and he’s confident with it.
“He’ll get a run out against Middlesbrough but we have to be careful with him.
“Caolan has got to be open and honest with us. If he feels anything we will shut him down.
“The most important thing is he’s back and he stays back.
“Our problem at the moment is scoring goals. We know he’s got goals in him and hopefully he will give us a lift.”
