Sheffield Wednesday are saddened to learn of the passing of Iain Hesford at the age of just 54.
Hesford was a talented goalkeeper who was on the Owls’ books from 1983 to 1986.
The sterling form and reliability of number one Martin Hodge, though, prevented Iain from making a single senior appearance for Wednesday.
Elsewhere, he posted over 400 starts for the likes of Blackpool, Sunderland and Hull City and was an England Under-21 international to boot.
