Charlton full back Rhoys Wiggins has praised Sheffield Wednesday winger Royston Drenthe’s performance at The Valley on Saturday.
From the first whistle, Drenthe was a handful for the Addicks and, after going close in the early exchanges, bagged a stunning goal midway through the first half.

The Dutch international caused problems for Wiggins from kick-off, who admitted Drenthe was one of the best players he has come up against this season.
He said: “We mentioned before the game that they have got good wingers. We knew it was going to be a tough game.
“It’s always difficult to have that player coming in off the line and getting shots off.
“He got his goal and had a solid first half.
“We changed it a bit tactically at half time, that’s why Jordan Cousins came on my side to help double up against him.
“First half he just seemed to be on his game, he was picking up the ball drifting inside and outside and you could not tell what he was going to do.
“He always kept my mind occupied.”
