Charlton Athletic 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Saturday 1 November
Sky Bet Championship
Attendance: 16,850

PRE-MATCH
Stuart Gray: “We know all about Charlton’s home record but they will know all about ours away from home, so something has to give.

“We have proved to be very difficult to break down away on our travels and that is something we must continue.”

Bob Peeters: “They are a very physical side and if we make it physical then it will be very tough for us.

“If we can play our game and pass the ball a little bit more than we have a chance. They are a strong, collective side and they are very good on set pieces.”

TRIBUTE
The Owls line up in silence to pay tribute to the thousands who gave their lives to ensure a better one for others.

MANAGERS’ VERDICT
Stuart Gray: “Charlton have a very good home record but we wanted to exploit one or two things and did so only to let that down by giving the ball away.

“Would I have taken a point before the game? No, because we wanted all three and after dominating the first half we should have got them.”

Bob Peeters: “We knew the main problem was Drenthe on our left side and we gave the ball away up front and they broke and scored a superb goal. That can happen.

“At half time I made the change and brought Gudmundsson on which gave us more creativity.”
