The Owls Under-18s host Yorkshire rivals Leeds on Saturday and are looking to respond after their unlikely setback last time out.
The youngsters were one minute away from recording their seventh straight clean sheet but conceded two late goals against Huddersfield to lose 2-1.
Academy coach Max Wragg has said the lads will bounce back from that disappointment as they prepare for the clash against Leeds this weekend.
Wragg said: “We’ve made sure the lads didn’t beat themselves up too much about the defeat.
“We have concentrated on possession and ball retention drills because we gave the ball away far too much against Huddersfield.
“The run we have been on has been great, but we need to have more quality, a better end product and hopefully we can start adding more goals to our game, starting against Leeds on Saturday.”
The game kicks off at 12noon at Middlewood Road on Saturday.
