Chris Maguire will sit out the Owls’ home clash with Watford on Saturday 18 October.
Maguire picked up his fifth yellow card of the season on Saturday against Leeds and will serve a mandatory one-match ban as a result.
It was a bittersweet afternoon for the Scot, who had earlier fired the Owls into the lead in the White Rose derby with a blistering drive from distance.
Leeds defender Giuseppe Bellusci equalised for the hosts 11 minutes from time.
