Joe Wildsmith is relishing the experience of representing his country over the current international break.
The young Owls goalkeeper is on duty with the England Under-20s for the Four Nation Tournament in Holland, which the Three Lions began with a 1-0 win over Germany.
Wildsmith was an unused substitute for the match but the talented teenager is focusing on the bigger picture.
He said: “It's a great experience for me to be training with effectively the best in England for my age group.
“It has given me an insight into the standard I am up against and what I have to do to compete for a place.
"I have learned a lot on how to conduct myself for my country as I would my club.
"We've got off to a great start but we have to concentrate on the next two matches and on winning the tournament."
The five-day tournament is contested between the Netherlands, England, Germany and Turkey.
England’s next game is against the hosts in Heerenveen on Saturday.
