Final outing for England Under-20s

13 October 2014

The England Under-20 squad – which includes Owls goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith - play their final fixture in the Four Team Tournament this evening.

The young Three Lions take on Turkey tonight (7.00pm) in Skoatterwald after winning their previous two games.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side picked up wins over Germany (1-0) and Holland (3-2).

Wildsmith has gained valuable experience over the past week training alongside some of the brightest young prospects in the country.

England Under-20 coach Boothroyd said: “I’ve been really impressed all week. What we’ve got in this group is a lot of really good characters and good players too.

“Coming to tournaments like this for our U20s is absolutely vital."

England only need to draw to win the title and Boothroyd continued: “It’s been a fabulous couple of games and I’m really looking to Turkey and seeing if we finish it off in style."
