The Sheffield Wednesday Ladies have advanced to the second round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s recent history.
The Owls triumphed 4-1 over local rivals Handsworth, with goals from Emma Briggs (2), Emma Otley and Emily Higgins.
The second round has paired the Wednesday Ladies with Farsley AFC, who are currently top of the NERWFL league.
The cup-tie will take place this Sunday, 12 October (1.00pm).
